MI Online Coursework and Method of Instruction

Academic calendar for online courses is same as that of the main MI campus in Hollywood. Credit courses are of 11 weeks, including the last one week of final exams. Non-credit courses are of 10 weeks with an optional one week of final exams. Duration of certificate programs range from two to four quarters (6 to 12 months), whereas Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees are of six quarters (18 months) duration.

All MI Online courses are taught by world-class faculty of accomplished musicians. During each week of instruction, you will be guided through pre-recorded video lessons. You will also participate in discussion with other students, submit assignments, and receive feedback from your instructor. Some courses have weekly quizzes and mid-term exams as well. On an average, you may have to put in about 10-12 hours per week to complete the lessons and assignments.

MI Online’s Learning Management System (LMS) is designed to work on most of the mobile devices. Thus, you can watch pre-recorded video lessons on your mobile phone.
